Plain talk about what we collect when you call, book, or browse, and how we look after it. No jargon and no fine-print games.

We’re a local appliance repair company here in Sarasota, not a tech company that trades in data. We only ask for what we actually need to fix your appliance and get a technician to your door. Here’s exactly what that means for your information.

By using our website, calling or texting us, or booking a repair, you’re agreeing to what’s described below.

What We Collect

When you reach out. If you call, text, email, or fill out a form on our site, we usually end up with your name, phone number, email address, and service address, along with whatever you tell us about the appliance and what it’s doing. If you’re a property manager or a commercial client, we may also collect the business and property details we need to schedule the work and keep proper records.

When you visit the site. Like most websites, ours automatically notes some basic technical details through our hosting provider and any analytics tools we use. That can include your IP address, browser and device type, and which pages you looked at. We use it to keep the site running smoothly and to understand what’s helpful.

Cookies. We may use small cookie files to remember your preferences and measure site traffic. You can switch cookies off in your browser settings, though a few things on the site might not behave quite right if you do.

How We Use It

Everything we collect goes toward actually helping you. Specifically, we use your information to:

  • Answer your questions and give you a quote
  • Schedule, carry out, and follow up on your repair
  • Reach you about your appointment, whether that’s by phone, text, or email
  • Send written estimates, invoices, and warranty records
  • Keep our website working and improve it over time
  • Meet our legal, tax, and insurance obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we never share it with outside companies for their own marketing.

Texting You

If you give us your number, we might text you about your service request, your appointment, or a repair we’re working on. Standard message and data rates may apply. Want us to stop? Just reply STOP, or tell us you’d rather stick to phone or email.

Who We Share It With

Your information stays with us in almost every case. The only times it leaves our hands are:

  • Trusted service providers. The vendors that help us run the business, like our website host, scheduling and invoicing tools, and communication services. They’re only allowed to use your information to do their job for us.
  • Legal reasons. When the law requires it, or when we need to protect our rights, safety, or property (or someone else’s).
  • A change in ownership. If the business is ever sold or merged, customer records may transfer as part of that deal.

Third-Party Services

Our contact page includes a Google Map showing our service area. When that map loads, Google follows its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies. The same is true for any other outside tool we add down the road. If that’s a concern for you, it’s worth a look at their policies. We’re not responsible for how other websites handle your data.

How Long We Keep It

We hold on to your details only as long as we genuinely need them: to finish the job, stand behind our warranty, keep accurate business and tax records, and meet any legal requirements. Once it’s no longer needed, we dispose of it securely.

Keeping It Safe

We take sensible steps to protect your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. That said, no website or email is ever completely secure, so we can’t promise perfection. What we can promise is that we treat your information with care.

Your Choices

Get in touch any time and we’ll tell you what we have on file, correct anything that’s wrong, or delete what we’re not legally required to keep. If you live in Florida, state law may give you a few extra rights. Just ask, using the contact details below, and we’ll take care of it.

About Children

Our services and website are meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, let us know and we’ll delete it.

Updates to This Policy

If we ever change how we handle your information, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continuing to use our website or services after a change means you’re okay with the current version.

Questions? Talk to a Real Person

If anything here is unclear, or you want to know what we have on file, reach out and a member of our local team will help.
